COVID-19 UPDATE 17/7: Due to the current restrictions in place, the hall where we meet has had a lower maximum capacity imposed on it by the local council. Therefore our meetings are only open to our existing members. Once restrictions have eased further to allow a higher number of people, we will reopen our meetings to the general public.
We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to see you and your family at church in the near future. In the meantime, you can watch the sermons on our YouTube channel by clicking here.
We are an independent church of bible-believing Christians in the Sydney area, preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the City of Liverpool. If you are looking for a church that bases everything they do on the Word of God and are passionate about serving the Lord, then you have found a place you can call home. We’d love you to serve together with us.
“I desire to raise a generation of bible-believing Christians who are firmly rooted and grounded in the truths of God’s word.”
Victor Tey is the man that God used to plant this church.
“I was born in 1986 and grew up in Perth WA. In public school I was taught evolution and raised in the ways of atheism by my teachers. After my older brother, Jason Tey, was saved in 2001, we shared countless discussions about Christianity in the small apartment we shared at the time. In 2005, I was finally convinced that the bible was the word of God and called upon the Lord.
From that time I began attending the Bible-Presbyterian Church of WA where I became actively involved in the youth group and church ministries. As I learned more about the bible and the errors of protestant reformed theology, I decided to leave the Bible-Presbyterian denomination and seek a church that aligned with my beliefs and convictions so I could serve the body of Christ whole-heartedly.
In 2009, I travelled to Phoenix AZ, USA on a one year work/travel visa where I met and married my wife, Elizabeth. This unexpected turn of events lead us to Mexico in 2010, where we lived for about one year, to apply for Elizabeth’s spouse visa for Australia.
In 2011, we returned to Australia and settled in Sydney to serve at Lighthouse Baptist Church and prepare for the ministry. On the 22nd of February 2015, I was ordained by Mark Tossell and sent out to plant a new church in the Western Sydney area. The first meeting was on Sunday, the 1st of March 2015.
My goal for this church is to create a community where the word of God is truly the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. No doctrine unquestioned, no conviction untested, no tradition too sacred.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
I desire to raise a generation of bible-believing Christians who are firmly rooted and grounded in the truths of God’s word. A generation that not only knows what they believe, but why they believe it. We can make a difference in this world and it must begin at the house of God.
Elizabeth and I have been happily married for 9 years (since 7th August 2010) and are raising 6 beautiful children together.”

Sermons & Other Media
Every Sunday there is sound bible-preaching. The sermons are recorded on video and uploaded to YouTube and Apple Podcasts. All our media is non-copyright and free to re-distribute. If our church has been a blessing to you and you would like to help us continue the work, please consider donating to our church.
We sing traditional congregational hymns without musical instruments. We prefer this practice as it emphasises the voices of the members and lyrics of the song. You can use the link below if you want to familiarise yourself with the hymns we sing.
Children in Church
Church should be the assembling of all God’s people, including the little children. Therefore we do not provide separate child-minding services. Instead, we encourage you to have them sit with you.
We understand young children are not always silent. No one will be upset with you if you need to get up and move around to feed, change, settle or discipline your children. If your child does become very noisy during the preaching (ie. loud crying or screaming), it’s best to take them outside or into the foyer area and then bring them back once they have settled.
Food & Fellowship
Every Sunday after church we have lunch together. The food is organised and paid for by the church. You can help us order the right amount of food for everyone by using Team App to let us know if you plan to eat with us.
Team App is a mobile application our regular members use to let us know if they are staying for lunch. We always order extra, so you are still welcome to join us even if you were not able to tell us beforehand.
We are not a formal church, and do not have any specific rules in regards to dress standards. We would describe the expected church attire as “modest casual”. The goal is to create and maintain a godly atmosphere for both genders of all ages.
Donations & Expenses
Our church is funded by the donations of our regular members and online supporters. Giving to our church is always voluntary, therefore we do not take up a public collection during church. There is a locked box on site where you can drop your donations, otherwise you can donate by direct deposit or PayPal. We are extremely grateful to all our supporters who have partnered with us.
Door-to-door soul-winning is the main ministry of our church. One of the major goals of our church is to knock on the door of every house in our local city to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. Come and join us in this great work.
Kids Bible Club
The hour before church is all about the kids. Kids Bible Club is our children’s ministry that is focussed on teaching our young ones the truths of God’s Word from cover to cover. Children participate in a variety of activities in a safe and supervised environment.
Events & Social Activities
Throughout the year we have regular church events and social activities for the church to have some fun together. It’s a great opportunity to get to know each other and build stronger bonds within the church. Subscribe to our email list for regular event updates or follow us on Facebook or Instagram to see some photos from past events.
Meet the Members
Meet some of the family. Some have been with us since the beginning and others have joined us along the way. Whether new or old, the important thing is that we are all striving to move onward and upward for the Lord.
“This church constantly reminds us of God’s great love for us and how we ought to give Him glory with our lives.”
“The congregation is full of people, young and old, that love and care about actually serving God, not just talking about it.”
“It’s a blessing to have saved brothers and sisters so integral to our lives, and to watch our children grow up together.”
“I’m so glad to be in a church where I can call the people there, my family.”
