Last Sunday was a mix of sorrow and excitement. Although my mind was thinking more on the week following when we will hold our first official gathering of the new church in Punchbowl.
After we sang “To God Be the Glory”, Pastor Mark preached on the topic of Ordination.

Gus was being ordained as an Assistant Pastor the same day. We were asked to come forward so the men of the church could come forward one by one and pray for us. It was a real blessing and very touching to hear the prayers of my brothers in Christ.

I thank God for bringing me to this church. I’ve learned a lot from the people there, not only doctrine but about myself. But now the time has come to step out of the boat.
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. (Acts 13:2-3)
May God give me and Elizabeth wisdom and boldness.
