Baptism Saturday – 29th October 2016

On this Saturday we’ll be baptizing some more believers at the river. Hope you can come along to join us for some food and fellowship.

10:30 AM Meet at Georges River National Park for baptism (see map and directions further down)
12:00 PM eat lunch at the house
3:00 PM soul-winning

What to Bring:

  • drinking water
  • picnic chairs and mats
  • if it’s cold, warm clothes
  • if it’s raining, an umbrella!

I’ll be ordering pizza and we’ll meet back at the house afterward to eat lunch. Please RSVP if you are coming for lunch so I can order sufficient food for everyone.

We won’t be taking up any collections on the day but if you want to contribute financially for the food you can do so as you normally would on Sunday or via direct deposit.

Dress Standards
Please be dressed modestly at all times even when going for a swim. My standard of modesty for ladies would be knee-length shorts and an opaque, high-cut, t-shirt as a minimum when swimming. For gents, no speedos please.

The pin on the map is exactly where we plan on meeting within the national park area.

The entrance to the national park is at the intersection of Henry Lawson Drive and The River Road.

This is what the entrance looks like from the main road. On Sunday there may be someone at the boom gate entrance collecting a park fee which is $8 per vehicle.

Once you pass the boom gate, take a right at the fork and follow the road all the way to the end.

If there was no one at the gate collecting fees, be sure to stop at the machine to purchase a ticket for your car to display on the dash.

As you drive along the road you will pass a large shelter and a white amenities block. Keep going…

Then you will pass another large brown amenities block. Keep going…

You will then pass a large open area for cars to park.

Eventually you’ll hit another gate. Drive through the gate and around the bend.

As you drive around the bend, you’ll see another beach over the edge on your left. That’s where we want to be. We’ll be set up somewhere under the shade of the trees. Just park anywhere along the side of the road.

Hope to see you all there.

Matthew 3:5-6 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
